[26] Service Record of Elmer: Elmer Jackson Waller served in the National
Guard on the Mexican border from Aug. 1914 until sometime in 1917.
March 1917 he took Officer's Training at Ft. Snelling, Minn. Following
this school he was sent to France. He was given an honorable discharge
in 1919. He was a 1st Lt.
